Paxton’s Net2 Access Control Supports Genie Biometric Fingerprint Readers
Paxton’s market leading Net2 access control software now allows quick and simple integration with Genie CCTV’s Virdi biometric reader range. Security installers can offer a high security solution to sensitive sites that want to use Net2 access control with industry leading biometrics.
Installers can open up new market opportunities by offering sites the extra security that fingerprint authentication provides. Sites like police stations, hospitals, construction sites, offices, schools and nurseries can all benefit from a high security solution.
Genie CCTV’s BIOMERGE-PX software works to integrate Paxton’s leading Net2 software with the five readers in the Virdi range. The integration means that customers can enrol users’ fingerprints from Net2 as easily as they can register a proximity token. The new streamlined enrolment process keeps things straightforward for system administrators, who simply need to follow the onscreen instructions in Net2 software to add a fingerprint.
The attractive Virdi range allows installers to offer a choice of biometric readers to customers, depending on the site requirement. The new AC5000 reader comes with a colour screen and optional flush and surface housings, to offer impressive visual impact. The AC6000 comes with optional face detection, for an extra layer of security for more sensitive sites. Virdi readers also have patented live and fake finger detection and there is a mifare card reader on board all products for flexibility.
Net2 access control system not only secures premises, but the innovative Net2 Pro software offers features that move beyond simple access control. Installers can impress customers by offering them an access control system that gives them energy saving capabilities, smoother HR processes, security lockdown and an ID card designer option.
Net2 also integrates with intruder alarms, fire alarms and CCTV systems, to provide customers with a complete security solution.
Gareth O’Hara, Sales and Marketing Director at Paxton, says: “The new integration of Paxton’s innovative Net2 software with the Virdi range by Genie is another example of us using technology to keep things simple. Adding fingerprint users to a system is now as easy as adding a token in Net2, saving our customers and installers time and making their lives easier.”
